Art of the People Exhibition

In collaboration with Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival, Art of the People comes together to honor Baje Whitethorne, Sr. with an exhibition of artwork by Indigenous artists. 

Art of the People Gallery Art Show showcases art from members of the collective including Jerrel Singer, Nate Begay, Janet Yazzie, Billy Whitethorne, Randall Wilson and Stephanie Dann in honor of Baje Whitethorne, Sr. at The HeArt Box Gallery. Art of the People, founded by Baje, fosters artistic excellence by activating, preserving and invigorating Native American culture through various forms of art and encouraging the next generation of Indigenous artists.

In conjunction with the Film Festival, this collective art show celebrates the screening of the film Uniquely Blessed, an experimental and participatory art documentary by Kiril Kirkov. Uniquely Blessed will show Saturday evening at the Orpheum in the 7-10pm film session. The film session will also include tabling and retail sales by Indigenous artists and craftspeople.
